Such gorgeous calling cards.

VG Invites Calling Card or Mommy Card

VG Invites Calling Card

I was up at 3:00 a.m. this morning playing around and I designed and created these sweet little calling cards. I am going to attach them to my Nutty Lemon Lime Rumba recipe cards that I will be handing out as party favors tonight.

There are so many terrific uses for these personalized cards my mind was spinning with ideas. If you would like to chime in with some ideas of your own, I would love to hear them.

Prepping For Girl’s Night In

VG Invites Cocktail Recipe Card

I’m giving these cocktail recipe cards out to my guests this Thursday. Prepping for the event is a great opportunity to create a video tutorial.

I’m looking forward to my girls-night-in cocktail party this Thursday. I’m serving my signature cocktail, Nutty Lemon Lime Rumbas, and some horderves. I can’t wait to have a fun evening in with the ladies…

While I prep for my “Girl’s Night In Soiree”, I thought that this would be a great opportunity to make my video tutorial on cutting using a cutting matt, straight edge, and an x-acto knife. My invitation suites and cocktail recipe cards require cutting and there are two ways that offer professional looking results. I’m going to show you one of the ways, that always works well for me, in a step-by-step video tutorial. So stay tuned…

A Time For Inspiration

VG Invites Inspirational Moments

A walk on the beach in early July

I love my early morning walks on the beach. It is quite time filled with inspiration. By the time I get back to my office/home, I have lots of ideas and can’t wait to get cracking on new designs. I wouldn’t trade this for anything.

Learning Tons!

I’ve learned so much in the past couple of years! Sometimes when I take a step back and look at myself, I’m amazed. It was drive and determination that got me here. The things that I used to struggle with 20 years ago come so naturally to me. It was so frustrating to have ideas in my head and not be able to bring them into reality in a way that suits my muse. I’m so grateful for all that I have learned and all that I am learning in growing VG Invites. I have a tone of awesome ideas for invitations, blogs, tutorials, party ideas… I’m wondering if there is a cloning kit out there because I’m going to need two of me to get the job done. xoxo

Behind The Scenes

Up and running bright and early today. Figuratively, anyway. I’ve been so focused on this blog and how to market VG Invites, that I have neglected my exercise. The good news is, I now know the difference between long tail and short tail keywords. That term eluded me for a while.

My blog doesn’t look like much…yet. But I have high hopes. WordPress is a learning curve in itself. If it wasn’t so SEO friendly I would certainly be using a much easier interface. However, my goal is to do everything in my power to get this business up and running. That entrepreneurial spirit is kicking in full force these days. Some would even call it an obsession.

…stay tuned to watch my DIY invitation blog morph into a beautiful little butterfly.
